The Jury (Artist Selection Panel) for each of the Art Calls released by The City of Rochester shall be composed of seven (7) individuals. Juries must be diverse, and include a broad knowledge of the site and community.

All entries will be judged on the following criteria:

1. Creativity and artistic merit
2. Appropriateness for the intended site
3. Feasibility of construction
4. Safety for adults and children
5. Long-term durability in four-season Rochester, NY conditions
6. Resistance to vandalism
7. Ease of maintenance and repair
8. Suitability / Availability of materials
9. Appropriateness to the Art Walk environment and its mission
10. Appropriateness to the specific individual shelter location
11. Functionality as a Shelter for people waiting for the bus in all 4 seasons
12. Full compliance with City of Rochester requirements for placing public art
within a City street right of way will also be required.

a. Design will require approval through the Permit Department
b. Design will require approval by the City of Rochester Arts Commission and subsequent Public Hearing for adjacent property owners.

We reserve the right to not short-list or award a commission for the Art installation if a sufficient number of appropriate submissions to select from are not received. This decision is to be made at the sole discretion of the panel of jurors upon reviewing the quantity and quality of submissions received.
